Nice setup, but when PBX Express creates the instance, it doesn't name it, so you're left with an extremely long useless to reference instance name - that you cannot edit once created.

Can we get PBX Express to put the host name into the instance name?

Team,

One thing we need to consider with lightsail is the firewall it offers. You can specify the ports but you can not restrict by source IP. Which means you either have to us iptables on linux or tweak the windows firewall if you want a bit more security. It is cheap but limited.

Lightsail only allows two instances per account so you shouldn't have too hard a time keeping track of it.

However you can make a backup of the instance, delete the original and create a new vm using the backup with whatever name you need.

You can have as many public IPs as you have instances, just need to email AWS support and ask for more once you go past the first five instances. It is when you leave them unused that you have a problem, in that they may charge when unused.
