Hi All,

A client of ours wants to move their 3CX into the Hosted by 3CX cloud.
Only problem is, they are currently using a IAD/ SBC of some kind that is connected through IP to the 3CX on the LAN network.
We've directly attached the IAD to a dedicated LAN port of the 3CX server using a separate NIC.
This works great imo.

Is their any way we can connect this IP based SBC through to the Hosted by 3CX platform?
We were first thinking of connecting it straight to a 3CX SBC, but at first this does not seem possible.
Any workarounds for this?

Are you saying the dial tone is provided via the IAD?

the IAD is providing dial tone, audio from the provider.
It is added as an IP based trunk in 3CX.

it's connected to a dedicated modem/ router of the provider.

There is no supported way. You best bet would be to configure a 3CX SBC on the premise, maybe even use the existing 3CX Server machine and IP, then just leave it to see if the IAD registers and connects.

If not, you might have to do some meddling with the settings, like connect the IAD to the main network with the other IP Phones are connected, the set the SBC IP as a "proxy" in this device and use the 3CX FQDN as the "Registrar".

Yeah, that's not an ideal scenario. Really the only way to accomplish this would be to setup a site-to-site VPN between that location and the cloud provider so the 3CX cloud instance could reach the IAD and vice-versa without any firewall NAT involved.
