Good day, I installed 3CX IP PBX on a hosted solution (OVH). The PBX is a demo to see if it will match our needs. We a call centre of 120 people so I will need 120 IP phones installed.
We will only be using the PBX on this site and not anywhere else.
Would I need to install 3CX Sbc or can I just provision all the handsets via remote stun server? How will the voice quality be affected.
Thanks

So first of all that would be too many phones for an OVH instance. It's fine for testing and for smaller installs but for 120 person call center you will need more resources. Something with at least 2 cores and 4GB of memory to start and if you are doing call recording and frequent reporting you'll need more than that.

For the remote phones, one PC-based VM (not Raspberry Pi) could do it although I'd implement more than one for some resiliency. But the better solution would be a site to site VPN to your instance which is also something I don't believe you can do with OVH.

For something of this size I would definitely recommend reaching out to a 3CX partner to ensure a smooth implementation.

Great, thanks for the info. Yes was thinking of using a local 3CX partner as it seems a bit much to manage on a continuous basis.
