Updated the system software to the latest V18.0 update 5 build 415 and now users cannot log into a device by entering *77*103*

The system is hosted in AWS

All phones are Yealink T48G with the most up to date firmware available

The phones are connected to a Raspberry Pi SBC.

When trying to log into user 103 for example, i enter *77*103* when prompted i put in the voicemail passcode and i get a response back saying login successful, the phone will now be set to your account, but nothing happens and doesn't actually log you in.

I believe the T48G is now EOL per https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/v18-update-5

However it is suggested that Yealinks are supposed to still work after reboot.
Some End of Life (EOL) Fanvil, Yealink and Snom phones can no longer be provisioned securely via 3CX and need to be manually reconfigured. Fanvil and Yealink phones will continue to work even when rebooted, however using the last known configuration file, without receiving further updates.

What happens after your reboot the phones? Does it work after you manually re-provision a phone?

Known Limitations

  1. No support for CTI via uaCSTA
  2. No direct UI login
  3. No Hot desking

Looks to be, Hot Desking on T48G is not supported now that T48G's are EOL. It is probably time to get new phones anyway.

This being broken makes sense - as the phone needs to be re-provisioned for hotdesking and 3CX is only provisioning via TLS1.2 now. As a result, any phone not set to use tls1.2 (technically T48G can do 1.2 according to this but just isn't) won't be able to hotdesk anymore.

EDIT: Appears the linked TLS1.2 option is already set in the stock 3CX template.
