Current 3CX Version: 20.0.6.724

Hi All,

We're onboarding a new client and need to move their license and 3CX system under our control.

I have full System Owner access to the current system, so have access to backups etc.

For the license, I assume in 3CX Management Console we unlink the old partner, then link our partner account which will bring the license over to our portal?

As for the 3CX migration, I'm looking for information on how to migrate our 3CX instance from AWS to LightSail. Can someone point me in the right direction of 3CX documentation on this or the advice the steps involved.

Having run through the PBXExpress options the other day there is still no restore option to provide a backup file.

Do we need to configure a new blank instance under the license/FQDN and then once in the 3CX Management Console perform a restore? or another way?

Appreciate any help in advance, I was unable to log a ticket as the license key isn't currently available in our portal, so hoping the forums or 3CX support staff can reach out and assist.

Many Thanks

Thanks for the reply Alphabetic, unfortunately it's only a PRO license.

I understand the backup, turn off part. But what I'm not understanding or finding is the correct way to perform a restore on a new instance. My understanding is that Lightsail instances should be created by PBXExpress.

Do we need to configure a new blank instance under the license/FQDN and then once in the 3CX Management Console perform a restore?

Many Thanks

Just updating the post to advise I also need to keep port 5001, can you do this with PBXExpress? Or do you setup the instance on 443 and then the port will change once the backup is restored?

Another question, if we purchase another 16SC license under our portal, and use the replace license option in 3CX management console, that updates the FQDN to the new license, doesn't it?
