We have a customer prospect need to install 160 IP phones, but the phones are widely spilt to multiple location, and mostly per location only has 1 phone.
Therefore like to check if each phone is installed as router phone mode, how many router phone can have per instant of 3CX system. Any upper limit number of IP phone configure as standalone Router phone?

There is no limit. You can install as much router phones as you like.

Thank you Sir, may i ask if you have encounter similar case as my prospect customer, will it cause network or 3CX performance degrading for having many Router phones at the same time.

i think i'm up to like 57 on one system alone. anything that can be it's own router phone i'm doing that way. eliminates a lot of hassle.

Thank you for your sharing, may i ask 57 router phone, total number of IP phone in your system is 57 or much more, possible to share the overall implementation size. You mentioned eliminates various hassle, possible to share the problem you enountered.

it's a 48 call license so it has a lot of phones. if you run every phone that can be an SBC as an SBC, you're removing one potential source of failure from someone knocking a phone offline taking 9 others down behind it. And running software SBC is great too, but again, if that device goes offline so do the phones that maybe can't be an SBC themselves. So, i started running everything that can be one as one, and the complaints of phones being offline from end users unplugging stuff went way down.
