Hi,

I am looking to use 3CX to replace my on-premise legacy system, but I am a little unsure how many SCs are needed.... Currently we have 6 ISDN lines and that's enough for incoming/outgoing calls. However, internal calls don't run over them so we don't have to worry about that number.

Are internal calls included in the SC numbers? If so, does one internal call count as 1 or 2 SCs? (one out to the system and one back to the called extension?)

Thanks,

Matt

Hi @wildmanmatt,

If you wish to host your instance with us, then you will not be able to use ISDN as per the post. An alternative will be to connect IP phones to SBC, use the web client or mobile apps.

Regarding how SC calls are calculated, each internal/external call is counted as 1 SC.

This can be also found in your Management Console on the Dashboard page.

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to me. I'm looking to replace the ISDNs with 3CX. I've already sourced a suitable sip trunk.

I just wasn't sure how many SCs were needed.

So each internal call is a single SC? That's very helpful, thank you.

Matt
