My backup has an FQDN which is no longer available (.3cx.co.uk) so when I released the old FQDN and set up a new matching instance to restore to, I get an error as the FQDN's don't match. Anyone know how I get round this? I HAVE to get it back up asap as it our main phone number.

If you don't manually install alpha or beta (pre-release) updates then the normal/public ISO would have been the same version, not older. Just turn on automatic updates and 3CX will install normal updates for you. Or disable automatic updates and enable it when you do want to upgrade versions.

Looking back at this case I think there were a couple of things that went wrong:

- Releasing the FQDN was unnecessary. Since the backup was made using the option "License Key Information, FQDN & Conference" it is now rendered useless. Only release an FQDN if you no longer want it.

- The machine was manually upgraded to a newer beta build and the created a backup that will not restore on the official stable release since it is a lower version that the backup contains. (minor issue we can easily address with the beta ISO in this case)

What was the original plan? We can potentially suggest a different workflow in accordance to that.
