Hi,

I have a client request, they want me to offer them a solution in which they use a single phone it should be able to connect to multiple wireless headsets e.g. 2xYealink WH62
so that simultaneously can answer calls.

Is this possible?

Please advice.

Regards,
Andy

No, that will not work.

Yes, you cant use 2 lines or Headsets at the same time on one phone.

I see. would hot desking or group pickup?

Hi Andy,

So for example you want to use one DECT station, with 2x handsets, and have them both ring on the same extension number ie. extension 100 ?

Please explain a bit more what use case the customer wants to solve with this request?

Hi John,

So the scenario is that the customer have two receptionists; in the case of receptionist 1 is busy, the other should be able to answer the call.

Please advice.

Regards,
A

There are a few ways you can accomplish this but this is the simplest:

Using two extensions: when a customer calls the client's number you can send that call to a Ring Group which will contain the two extensions. You can choose to Ring All and whoever wants can pick up

The WH62 is irrelevant here - it only acts as a plain old headset. So each receptionist will need their own PC, running their own 3CX Web Client or 3CX Desktop App, and each with their own headset in order to do the above.
