Hi,

The title says it all really.

We have a single sip connection to provider, we dont want employees to be able to call international, but execs need to be able to without restriction.

I can not work out if this is possible in 3CX.

Has anyone overcome this scenario before?

We are using professional edition.

Thank you.

Use outbound rules, to block the calls - base your rule on extension and calls with prefix - https://www.3cx.com/blog/voip-howto/outbound-rules-a-complete-example/

create two rules.

  1. Allow rule for execs, add multiply extensions by separating them with , and international prefix
  2. Block calls with international prefix

note : rules are process from top down, so get your rules in the correct order

thanks all - this was exactly was what needed.

One point to note here, despite what is set on 3CX and dependent on your provider you may need to also enable Geo permission capabilities on the trunking platform.

For example Twilio do this and it can be required for calling certain geographic numbers for security reasons.
