How to Archive All Recordings?

I recently updated from V15 to V16, switching from Windows Server 2012 to Debian in the process. I was able to move 150 GB of recordings over to the new install via SFTP, and they converted over with no issues.

I want to set up daily archiving of the recordings to a Synology NAS using the new feature in V16--I set the destination via SMB and can manually back up the recordings 50 at a time with no issue. However, the daily scheduling only seems to move a handful of the older recordings before quitting--is there a way to move the remaining 149 GB in bulk or do I need to move 3000 pages of recordings one page at a time? When I set the schedule it said "All your existing recordings will be archived" but that does not seem to be happening...

Hi,

It may potentially be the case that your SFTP session times out after a while.

Start by looking at your Synology logs (try to get maximum verbosity if possible) to learn why/when the connection drops. Also see if it allows you to configure it so that the session does not have a timeout.

Manually archiving one message works.

The archive process seems to be running, albeit very slowly. It's averaging ~100mb of recordings per hour over the last 18 hours (NAS and PBX are connected via gigabit switch and speeds over SMB should be much faster).

Is there a way to move them manually in bulk and set a parameter to re-index them, similar to the process for moving recordings to the install?

Unfortunately no, this is only available for local recordings and that function was specifically added for migration from V15 to V16 only - not meant for archiving.

I cannot comment much on the transfer rates, this will depend on the hardware (both PBX and NAS) but also on the libraries running on the NAS responsible for the SFTP session ( different SFTP server may prove more effective ). Note that SFTP is a different protocol than SMB and they are not comparable
