How to block XXX-555-1212

I have recently learned that at almost any north america phone area code (604, 416, 562, etc) combined with 555-1212 will trigger a directory assistance call. And once the call is patched through, no matter if you use the service or not, you are charged for directory assistance.

Is there a way to create an outbound rule that prevents any calls to XXX-555-1212?

I'm not aware of the ability to place wildcards into outbound rules, unfortunately. Most regions use leading digits to block calls to certain services. Could your provider have this service disabled?
