Hi,

I have a Windows-based 3CX phone system v15 with static public IP configured. Recently we changed the internet service provider and would like to change the public IP to the new one.
What is the process to change the public IP to new?

Click on your current IP in the dashboard. It's really that simple

I did this already and noticed IP is not getting changed even after waited a long time. So I just want to confirm anything else need to be changed or updated

first thing i would ask is are you clicking "OK" at the top after you change it?

When you say it's not getting changed, do you mean the change is not reflected in the dashboard or or that DNS isn't updating? If it's not reflecting in the dashboard then make sure you are pressing 'Ok' as @jholbrookFTLtechnology mentions. If you are talking about DNS the TTL is 6 hours for STD/PRO licenses.

Maybe do a ipconfig/flushdns in CMD too

I read somewhere (but can not find it now) that the proper way to change Public ip is to set to Dynamic first, wait x time until the new IP is registered on the Dashboard, which means DNS has updated, then back to Static.
6 hour DNS update seems like a lifetime. My new router and ISP is ready to go. Just finding a 6 hour block for migration for a 7 day a week business is tough.

You are Right Craig, but public IP switch very quickly when in network you set it to dynamic and new IP is coming , you just need to set it as static , done.
For DNS replication even if it's said to wait 6 hours , never had to wait so long time .

It worked after waiting a couple of hours. Thank you
