Hi All
Just casting a line here to see how people handle this scenario. We have a number of similar configurations but no really satisfactory solution for all scenarios
Scenario: Small Office
Calls come direct into a Call queue with 4 Agents. Inbound rule work well to open / close the queue on a timer, delivering calls during standard working hours and putting the calls to a message bank outside of hours.
Feature Gap: We are still looking for a simple way to close the queue - say for a staff meeting, fire drill, early close of the office etc.
The closest option we have found is to route through a dummy extension and use the web client to change the status of the dummy extension. How do you handle user initiated queue closures?Surely this is the kind of thing a manager of a call center will need to do occasionally.
