We are currently managing a 3CX instance running V20 Update 9 and need some guidance on configuring custom Music on Hold for a specific department/company without affecting the other departments.
Our requirement is to assign custom hold music to a specific department, while keeping the existing Music on Hold settings unchanged for all other departments.
We checked the System Prompts → Manage Prompts section in the Admin Console, where we can manage prompt files using the Prompt ID, File, and Description fields. However, we are unsure whether modifying or adding a prompt in this section would allow us to assign Music on Hold exclusively to one department.
We also understand that department specific Music on Hold may be available in a later 3CX update, but our production system is currently running V20 Update 9, and the newer update is not yet available as a stable release in our Updates section.
Could anyone advise on the following?

- Is there a supported way to configure custom Music on Hold for only one department on V20 Update 9?
- Can this be achieved through System Prompts or another supported configuration option?
- Are there any recommended workarounds that would not affect Music on Hold for other departments?
- If this functionality requires a later update, is upgrading the only supported solution?
