Sorry coming from anothe PBX system.

This system is only 4 users, they cant seem to keep the 3cx app opened and have decided to go to a forward calls to mobile only.

So as calls come into IVR i set the call flow to connect to extension, and all extensions are just ringing mobile simultaneously. So just glorified call forwarder.

I have with other PBX systems had the call as it was passed to a forwarded mobile number add to caller ID the source, like "From Sales" so the client knew it was a call from this PBX and not a personal call to their cell phone.

what is the best practice with 3cx for this use case?

Thank you

The 3CX App doesnt need to be kept open to be honest. It can receive PUSH notifications on incoming calls to show who is calling and also to answer the phone directly from the notification.

The app does have a keep active button if they do wish to have this open if they wish but that could increase the battery utilisation.

Sending additional information over the PSTN is not something that is usually done, so it is only limited to just the caller ID number.

Yeah no my memory serves me that we would send internal calls to agents with an altered caller id name from and old * pbx.

Is there a way I can force a caller id number change to when the pbx rings their mobile simultaneously.

And not sure why but this client had constant issues with the 3cx app unregistering.

So I would like to at least play an announcement when they answer on their mobile a call from 3cx.

Looks like when it rings the mobile it also trips the spam likely, guessing since it’s just changing the caller id to match the original caller at the pbx out to mobile so it looks fishy.

Hi,

If your SIP provider supports caller id rewriting (CLIP No Screening) you can enable it in 3CX.

Otherwise you can use the "Rebound" feature which let's the person know who is calling them when it rings their mobile:
