I have read in a 3CX-forumpost from Charles_3CX:
"Please ensure that when creating new extensions with email addresses, the mailbox is ready to receive emails.
When creating extensions, a welcome email is sent to the specified email address using the 3cx SMTP server, and if the email can not be received and bounces, the address is blocked indefinitely."

@Charles_3CX Can you let me know how we can "unblock" the indefinite block for an email-address that was not ready to receive emails by error?

Kind regards,

Dietmar

Regarding your question, please note that with the 3cx SMTP server, there is no way to unblock email addresses indefinitely. There is no whitelist function either.

You can uncheck the option to 'Notify user when extension is added' from the management console > Settings > Email > Notifications section.

So if you are unsure if the mailbox is ready to receive an email, a welcome email will not be sent automatically when setting up new extensions, and avoid it blacklisting if it bounces.

Thanks for your answer Charles_3CX!
So for my case: it is not possible to unblock the email-address that is already blocked by mistake.

Please check the pm
