How would you make this work?

Business with multiple locations. Pbx in vultr on v20. A single fanvil x5u-v2 at each location using wifi to connect.

How would you set that up? We've tried making the phone a sbc at each location but since it's on Wi-Fi, it doesn't work.

Yes.

Or you could try setting it up as a generic IP phone. Since there's only 1 phone at each site it shouldnt be an issue.

We're a Yealink shop, and on those I have been able to set up a few wireless phones as router phones. However it only works if you set it up first as wired, then connect using wireless. Have not tried on Fanvils.

Otherwise you can install the SBC software on a Windows PC there, it just needs to remain on and have a constant IP address.
