Hello,

We're migrating from our FreePBX to 3CX but have issues provisioning our eSpace 7950 telephones.

We are running on a public IP where all 3CX ports are forwarded. When I try using another SIP client everything works. But these phones do not want to connect.

Also these are the possible server settings

So has anyone set up these phones succesfully?

I have just checked and the issue seems to be in the 3CX asking for "407 Proxy Authentication Required"

This is not an issue, this means we ask the terminal to send us the password in an MD5 hashed form.

Hey Stefan, thanks for the response. I am going to buy a support ticket so this can be checked. It seems that the phone does not get any info back.

Ok so support told me the phones I try to use are not supported, although I did manage to use another device which is unsupported: MicroSIP softclient.

Why does this work and my eSpace phones don't?

Maybe I need to try to use STUN? Since the server is on a public IP address and everything is NATted by the firewall.

Hi @Pirlet

The phones are not officially supported by 3CX, which means you will have to figure out how to manually provision them.

If they support SIP they will most likely work for basic calling, but you may be missing a lot of 3CX features or introduce problems due to incompatibility. To authenticate in 3CX you need the extension number (as a user ID), authentication ID, password, server address and port.

The best I could advise you to do in this case is to replace them with supported phones that have been tested by 3CX and confirmed to work https://www.3cx.com/support/
