I have configured 3cx with default settings.
I am Using Voip.ms and so far i am able to place and receive calls successfully. The caviet is that when i call from the 3cx the receiving end only see the phone number not he Name of of the Company. Where and how do i set so any extensions call to external should see the main comapany name with the main number?

Thanks for everyone who is helping me in resolving this in advance for taking time out of your busy schedule to assist.

Regards
Nandan

You need to talk to Voip.ms. Typically CID name is the responsibility of the receiving party, which retrieves the name that is published by the provider of the sending party, which in this case is Voip.ms . Often there is a one-time charge to update the CID name.

Hello Cobaltit,
Thanks for the recommendations and suggestions. I have contacted voip.ms and after the logs and troubleshooting they mentioned as below to fix the issues which i am not sure how to configure on 3cx. if you open to consultation for smaller start up project like mine i am open to entartain the opportunity and work with you? is this an possibility?

Below is the suggestion / recommendations from voip.ms support

Your 3cx is sending the call as this From: "Networks365 Inc"<sip:[email protected]:5060> which is incorrect. We expect the SIP URI to be your account number and the callerID to be in the PI asserted Identity header

also your 3cx may have configured the callerID as the remote-party-ID as that's were we're getting the CID number xxxxxxxxxx?

Does the above two make sense compared to what you suggested earlier.

From the VoIP.ms article on CID and CNAM:

Caller ID is a telephone feature that transmits a caller’s phone number to the call recipient’s phone.Where available, the caller ID number can be supplemented with the caller’s name (e.g., John Smith).

So generally in the US you can only transmit the number. I believe in Canada you can supplement with the name. Since it looks like you are in Canada based off your use of the Toronto node, then adjusting your trunk settings should do the trick. The settings you want to change are on the Outbound Parameters tab of the trunk.

Hello Cobalit, I have done that setting before contacting voip.ms and that's why they were seeing as from "Networks365 Inc" but its not passing that to the end recipient which is what i am trying to resolve and i am not getting any where far as it looks like i might not be explaining right to both the techs or may be they are able to resolve where the issues lies

Thanks for your help

Did you see this: https://wiki.voip.ms/article/Extra_Services_Costs
I know you said you talked to them. Are you testing by calling a landline?
I know things are different in Canada... just trying to help.

CNAM Initiation and Updates
VoIP.ms cannot provide this service to all numbers so please contact [email protected] to make sure they can for your number.
This process can take up to 15 business days and you should always test the CNAM with calling a landline.
CallerID Name (CNAM) is an string of 15 alphanumeric characters that are associated with a given CallerID number.
The sample below is a Caller ID, that includes both Caller ID name and Caller ID number, commonly abbreviated as CID and CNAM among other variations.
It is not possible to set any Caller ID Name from the VoIP.ms portal.
"John Smith" <9145551234>
