Hello,
I have a particular circumstance. We have two 3CX instances for two separate businesses who are merging. And one staff member is moving between the sites.
What I need is a way for this person to receive calls from Site A while they are at Site B, which can be handed by a call forward, but we need a way for that person to be able to identify whether the incoming call is intended for Site A or B prior to answering so they know to give the proper greeting.
My initial thought was to forward calls to Site A to a DID number in Site B, which is assigned directly to an extension which forwards it internally to Site B's reception, with the intention of having that extension be named to make the Caller ID Clear that it's from Site A, but I believe the forward passes the caller ID of the source number along so it would still just list an external number.
The handset we are using at both sites is a Yealink T29G, 3CX version 18 with Standard license.
I hope I'm making sense, it sounds convoluted when I start writing it out.
