Hi All,

I am trying to import a load of DIDs into 3CX using the import function under:

Management Console - Inbound Rules - Import

No matter what I try, I am getting an error message as follows:

StartIndex cannot be larger than length of string.

If I click on the 'Add DID Rule' button and try it manually, it says:

Warning
In order to add an Inbound Rule, a SIP Trunk must be created first.
Go to SIP trunks and Add SIP Trunk.

which makes sense, since the DIDs don't yet exist.

If I add a DID manually in the SIP Trunk settings, I can then add it manually under inbound rules, but that means typing in each DID one at a time in the SIP Trunk settings (not an appealing option), rather than importing from a CSV file.

What am I doing wrong? How do I import all the DIDs?

Thanks,

Alan.

enter a few manually, export them and then review the export and make a new import file for the rest. Something isn’t written correctly or it would work fine. The export of valid rules will show you the way 3CX needs it best.

Hi CentrexJ,

Good call - I just created two DIDs, exported to CSV, deleted the two from 3CX, re-imported the CSV, and it worked, so clearly something is wrong in the CSV file that I had created.

I will just use that export as the template, and ignore the one I downloaded from the 3CX website.

Thanks,

Alan.
