importing voicemail post server rebuild

We are going to change over a 3cx server form 5 to 3 digit extensions which is basically meaning a complete rebuild of the server. We are wondering if/what would be the procedure to import the existing voicemail from the old 5 digit extension server into the new corresponding 3 digit extension server. Has anyone ever tried this? Is there an approved method? Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken you can simply go into the Advanced Settings\Custom Parameters and change ENL from 5 to 3. From there, you'll need to modify the system extensions and user extensions accordingly. You don't have to "rebuild" the entire server if you don't want to...

Also, voicemail messages are strored in:
c:\ProgramData\3CX\Data\Ivr\Voicemail

Simply backup that folder and you have a copy of all the voicemail messages stored on the system...
