3CX Android App Beta now adds Google’s AAudio API as an added alternative to the commonly used OpenSL (Sound Library). The 3CX App has so far used OpenSL which is still functional and widely used. However, following Google’s recommendation to replace OpenSL with the new de facto standard AAudio API, we have now included it as an automatic optio...

That's a nice addition, I'll see whether that resolves the echo problems we've been having with some phones! I have noticed one small problem: The text on the new statistics page is hard-coded to white, and as a result the statistics pages seem to be empty when using the light color scheme (black text on white background).

I´m using a Gigaset 270 plus V 8.1.0 When I use AAudio the volyme is to low for a normal call

Using AAudio with Android 9 and 3CX App Version 16.2.0 with a Jabra Evolve UC 65 and option Car/Bluetooth support (Telecom API) seems to work fine. A little bit lower voice from using OpenSL and not sure if i have a little echo.

Problems:
  • Tapping on call quality indicator shows all blank screens for Statistics, Input and Output
  • Switching to audio subsystem "Automatic" causes one-way audio (on the Android phone -> other phone). I can't hear anything on the Android phone but the other person can hear me. Switching back to OpenSL makes sound in both directions work again.
  • Screen doesn't wake up when receiving a call. Ring tone works.

And one positive thing I noticed: The latest 3CX "release" app keeps ringing when I pick up a call on my PC and not on the Android phone. I have to turn on the phone so it stops.
This seems fixed with the 3CX 16.2.0.81 Beta.
