Solved inbound routing to wrong ring group

Hi, please see the screenshots. Both DID have the same settings. The only thing is how 3CX receives the call for +1xxxxxx4090, but does not know which ring group to send to. So, it defaulted to the first ring group that was created, 200. Thank you.

So from what I know about Voxtelesys and based on your screenshots you need to have only 1 registration trunk with both numbers in the same trunk. My guess is that the calls from both DIDs are coming from one trunk with the same rinstance so they are routed to the same destination.

Do the following test:

Change the Default trunk destination of the TC trunk (the one that routes correctly) to your extension. Then call the 4090 number. Does the call come to your extension?
If yes then just add the 4090 number to the TC trunk and delete the other. Then route the DID to your Ring Group.

If the issue persists then you need to create a ticket so we can take a look at your configuration.

YiannisH_3CX is correct. With Voxtelesys if the numbers are on the same PBX then you only need 1 trunk and 1 registration. I was able to find your account and you 2 registrations but a single route on your inbound trunk, this means that both numbers are routing to the same trunk on 3CX and likely the reason you are getting the default route from the first trunk.

You have two options:
1. Delete the second trunk and create a separate rule for the second DID number on the 3CX (recommended)
- add number to trunk via this guide: https://voxtelesys.com/tutorial/3cx-v20-add-did-numbers-to-a-sip-trunk
- then you can assign that number to your ring group.

2. Create a second inbound route on the Voxtelesys portal and apply that route to the phone number (only recommended if there are multiple PBXs involved)

Thank you so much Kevin for the instructions! That works. Also, thank you Yiannis and everyone. I have a better understanding of how this works now. One trunk, multiple DID/routing, with 1 default. Thanks again.
