incoming and outgoing skype calls

HI

Looking for some info on using 3cx with Skype.

Question 1 -
I have setup the Skype gateway, and incoming Skype calls work OK, but all route to the same phone no matter which skype ID is called. I have setup 3 skype accounts on the machine where 3CX is installed, one for myself, my wife and my son. all incoming skype calls just get routed to her phone.


Question 2 -
How do I set the gateway / Outbound rule so that if user 1 dials a Skype ID, it gets routed via the Skype Gateway ?
I have set a rule as follows

dial 514
drop 3 digits
prepend with the specific skype id that i have associated with the number 514.
This works fine, but only works with numbers that I manually associate with an ID.
Is there a way of automating the procedure ?

If i set the rule as follows
dial 6skypename
drop 6
route via Skype gateway

I get "called number does not exist"

in the PBX PSTN settings, check if each is routed to the proper phone (say 101, 102, 103). If these are left default, they route incoming calls to the same phone, say 101.

incoming now working fine, It was routing to the Master account which i have now disabled

just outgoing that I cant get my head around.

Please specify how do you dial the number and what is the number you are expecting to reach. Also add the logs of "Skype gateway".

Jody, before asking for tracelogs - what's happen if you try to call Skype's sound service, echo123? It's the first, basic test for outbound call, after setting-up the gateway.

If I call a skype user by manually defining a number and prepending with the code and then dropping the number, it works fine

If i try and use say 6 as a prefix, then it just does not dial

Thanks to Steve Corrigan from 3Cx who pointed me in the right direction

Had to make outgoing rule with

a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i,j,k,l,m,n,o,p,q,r,s,t,u,v,w,x,y,z

as the prefix range
