Hi,
Is there a way i can get the phone number shown on a list of missed of missed calls. Using a snom820.
The missed calls only show the "display name" of the spa3102 from the subscriber info and the ring group "All".
many thanks,
Al.

ps i have to leave this blank as otherwise i receive no incoming calls.

Set the "PSTN Caller ID Pattern" field to "*". Note that in some geographical areas, this may cause incoming calls to fail, because the device incorrectly interprets the CallerID format. If this is the case, you may need to disable CallerID parsing by setting this field to empty.

If you are in North America, or an area that uses Bellcore type Caller ID then make sure that the 3102 is waiting at least 3 seconds before passing the call info in to 3CX. Otherwise you will just get the Display Name that you gave the 3102.

hi leejor. tried that - no joy. Any other suggestions?
thanks - al. :)

Are you receiving Bellcore type caller ID? You've confirmed that caller ID is being sent on the line? Hook a caller ID unit to the same line as the 3102 . The call should not be going to 3CX (no ringing of 3CX extension) until after you see the number showing up on the display, this will happen between the first and second ring. That's why the 3102 has to wait at least 3 seconds before passing on the call.

sorry still having an issue and i am sure its really a quick fix. the caller id appears to get to the 3cx ok (see pic). this is then relayed onto the phone as 10002: All or simialar? Can i just get the phones to display the caller id rather than ring group or virtual line info? many thanks.

Please post a 3CX log showing an incoming call from the 3102. Caller ID info, if it is being sent, will show up there. If you are getting the trunk number and display name from the 3102 showing up, then that will show in the log. The 3102 will display the last callers ID on the voice INFO tab/PSTN Line Status/Last PSTN Caller. In the PSTN to VoIP Gateway Setup, be sure that PSTN CID For VoIP CID is set to YES.

here are the settings as is...

OK, the number is definitely being passed onto 3CX. There is an option to add the ring group name onto the caller ID, have you tried changing that to see if there is a difference? Are you using any other phones besides the Snom? Does the number show up on them? Could you try a 3CX softphone? I'm wondering if it an option in the set(s) itself.

I notice in the Snom manual http://www.snom.com/uploads/docu/UM_snom820_v104_en.pdf (page 21) under General Information/Number Display Style, it shows an option Name, is there a Name and Number option that needs to change?

sorry only just seen that - will try tomorrow! i hope that does it!

That option really shouldn't stop the number from showing up, it just adds the ring group name onto the callers name (in countries where name is sent). But...you never know.

i think the number is going through - its just with these phones it only displays the first part. fingers crossed! thanks for you help. I didn't expect you to go looking through the snom manuals - that is helpfullness beyond the expected.
al :)

Setting on the snom nailed it!!
Thanks!
