Hello,

3CX Version: Enterprise Annual 16.0.619
Server OS: 3CX Debian ISO in Azure
Hosted in Azure under own control
IP phones: 3CX soft phones, Snom 320
Provisioning Method: Local
Trunk Provider: Orbtalk
Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES
Are custom Phone Templates being used: NO

Our 3CX worked fine with several inbound rules until we decided to set up office hours settings. The office hours were configured in the trunk settings.
Some months later we realized that the inbound routing doesn't work anymore. It took us some time to realize, because most of the calls always go to the main number and the few calls to other numbers seemed just to be missdialed. With verbose logging I was able to identify the office hour setting as the problem. Office hours were recognized and the main trunk number selected, regardless of the target phone number. I removed the office hours setting from the trunk and verified that no other office hours were configured in Settings or Extensions.

Now the flow for incoming calls assumes office hours and always routes calls to the main trunk number.
Here is the important part of the log, the settings for trunk, DID and Inbound Rules.
ActivityLog Routing Issue 202007151438 - call sorted anon.png
What am I missing?

If 3CX can not match incoming DDI numbers, it will use the main trunk settings

Couple of things to check.

Your DDI numbers, are these being passed to 3CX - check activity log. Check the format of your DDI numbers match the number being presented to 3CX (note you can use * in the ddi number i.e. *654321 will detect 987654321)

Have you setup office hrs for the DDI numbers ? and have the correct routing ?

DDI format was the missing hint. Not the Office Hours were the problem but the way the provider presented the target numbers must have changed. I found a year old log where the numbers were presented the same way as listed in the DDI list, as 0044. Today its +44.
Changing the DDI numbers from 0044 to *44 solved the routing issue.

Thank you.
