Incoming calls

Hi there,

I have 2 sip trunk installed on 3cx self hosted with 4 extensions

first 2 extensions are 100 and 101 for sip trunk A
other 2 extensions are 102 and 103 for sip trunk B

everything is working fine but some times when some one call sip trunk B and no one answer customer leave a voice mail to 102 and this is normal
but if he tried to call again sip trunk B the call go to Sip trunk A Ext 100

this issue happened 2 times

I suspect that that SIP trunks are "linked" in some way (one is busy and calls overflows to the second). You can confirm this if you have access to the 3CX Activity Log (Verbose) to see exactly how the calls are coming in, and if the first trunk still shows as being "engaged" when the second call comes in.

Hi @tikom did you check this in a call report?

What is the operator extension in that system? is it the 100?

Please note that the default voicemail message is Press # to leave a message or press * to contact the operator.

The caller could be pressing * when is in the 102VM and that is why the user 100 receives these calls...

Hello Alejandra,

You're correct; customers were pressing * and the call was being directed to operator EXT 100. To resolve this, I created a dummy EXT and assigned it as the operator EXT. Additionally, I modified the voicemail prompt. This adjustment successfully resolved the issue.
