Hi

I have set up our conferencing to have a DID point to it, however when I dial the DID rather than get @'enter conference ID' I get 'Please record your message and press hash'

Have I missed something?

Thanks!

Dave

Hi Dave,

Do you mean that you set the DID under here?

Settings > Conferencing > Audio > Conference External Numbers

You will also have to create an inbound rule that sends the call to 700

14284

And call 700 internally and externally via the DID to ensure proper operation

Hi John

Yes, I do have the inbound DID route as well.
If I call 700 internally it works fine,.

Thanks

Dave

Please check if the call reaches your PBX or whether you are reaching a voicemail of your trunk provider perhaps.

You can see it in the calls logs, activity log, or "number of calls in use"

We need to know where the call actually ends up

Looks like all the calls are going through to extension 206....

Ok then, that would explain the message at least. Look at your inbound rules (and their order), also look at how the PBX matches the rules: do you have the complete DID as the provider sends it? Perhaps it does not match as intended and your rule is not taking effect as you would expect

Not sure what was going on.
As it's a lab kit there were not many DID so I deleted them all and re-added and now seems to be working...

Hi Dave,

Whatever it was, the setting was removed when the DIDs were removed.

Glad to hear it was resolved at least
