Is your provider supporting T.38 fax ?
3CX is supporting only T.38 fax to e-mail - this is most probably the reason.

Regards

Yep, I use Nexvortex and I was told they are T38

Try searching the forums -- there was a recent post on the problem with faxes from Nexvortex.

Regards

Bandwidth requirements for T.38 require the least latency in a connection. If you are using nexVortex, you usually have to request that a specific number gets pinned up for T.38 faxing. Sending a request to the support site usually gets a quick response.

+1 to what Eapugo said. You have to email [email protected] with your account number and DID number and ask them to enable t.38 support. I have still had trouble making it work after that though.

Ok guys it is working!

I had already confirmed my line was setup for t38. Nexvortex has great customer support FYI>

But i followed this thread
http://www.3cx.com/forums/fax-server-problem-solution-provided-18484.html

Most importantly i changed a config file

as said in one of the posts.

You have to configure 3CX FAX SERVER for NAT. If you open the Fax cfg files there, there are comments that you need to uncomment and update.

C:\ProgramData\3CX\Data\Fax\Cfg

there are 2 files - open and read them. They should be self explanatory.

I don't have this directory on v10, has it moved, or has this changed...I'm also having nexvortex fax problems.

What is your OS?
The folder is in place. The path quoted applies for server OS.

Regards

appologies, I was looking in program files...
