Hello, we are currently experiencing an issue regarding the deployment of 3CX on Azure. I don't know if this is related to recent events but when we want to deploy a virtual machine from the PBX we don't have all the Azure VM bundles available. Also the 3CX Azure application has disappeared. What can we do ? Thanks in advance

up to Microsoft to decide. I would look at other cloud platforms such as Amazon, Digital Ocean and of course 3CX Hosted.

I'm curious, people who insist on using Microsoft Azure for 3CX, can you tell us what the advantages are that you can't find elsewhere? I just want to understand, this is not a negative comment to Microsoft.

For a company that has O365, so therefor is already in the MS ecosystem, makes sense to stay in the ecosystem -one bill, one vendor, etc. That's going to be a large amount of users.
Esp if they already use Azure for other stuff. Maybe they even have ExpressRoute in place to Azure.

For a 3CX partner, they are likely already a CSP with MS and this makes management simpler as well.

For those who can't wait for Azure, just spin up a Debian 10 machine and follow the steps in the Lightsail partner docs.

This way you'll at least be up and running. You can switch to a marketplace image once it comes back.

Not sure why it's a big drama right now lol just install manually as we all used to do!

I believe 3CX does not guarantee / cannot provide support in a manual install.
Maybe I'm wrong..

Whether they do or not, doesn't matter if people do it correctly and respect the recommendations.

It's temporary for those who cannot wait or deploy elsewhere in the meantime.

Hi everyone, is it possible that the image on Azure is still not working properly? I've been talking to admins in the 3CX Facebook group for days. I have created a debian vm in azure with the 3cx image from microsoft marketplace. Opened port 22 and the port group and created a swap file and tested it. As described in the instructions, I created a configuration script and wanted to upload this via http://meineip:5015. However, I cannot access the configuration interface. Port 5015 is open in the security group and a port scan has confirmed this. However, nothing is listening on port 5015. i was then advised to access the VM via putty and call the wizard (/usr/sbin/3CXWizard). however, the only answer i received was that 3cx is already installed. Which is what I actually expect when I download a 3cx image. Then I was told to try port 5001. But that makes no sense and doesn't work. A 3cx service does not run on the debian vm either. Can someone give me some advice?

You should not have to do any of that. The Azure Marketplace image is pretty much select, install, add the RTP ports, close 22.

I'm typing from my phone so this is a quick response. But you simply don't need to do anything more than this. Once the image from the marketplace is live you can connect on 5015.

Also. Have you considered letting 3cx host this as part of their licence. The whole idea of it was so people struggling with azure, was, etc can quickly get up and running and supported.

As @Nick W correctly mentioned there should be no issue with the Azure deployment, however in case you are having issues you may also consider using a 3CX Hosted installation.

Hi - I had the same issue.
After this command /usr/sbin$ sudo /usr/sbin/3CXWizard --cleanup
I finally got the startup prompt

If the documentation/installation instructions for third-party software are correct, azure is normally a wonderful environment.
