Integration of PA system to 3CX

Hi,

We are currently running 3CX version 18 Update 3 (Build 461).

We have a requirement from our customer to integrate a PA system to the 3CX server.

Can anyone advise the specifications and requirement of the PA system in order to integrate with 3CX ?

I have used a Snom PA1 connected to standard PA amplifier. The Snom PA1 provides an Audio output that you can connect to any amplifier.

If you are using analog I would recommend using Cyberdata, Fanvil, or Snom (if you have to). The Cyberdata paging server or adapters are the best, Fanvil makes a couple models that work well but the documentation of features could be better. As for the Snom...well according to my rep and Snom tech support the only thing it is good for is having a speaker hang off of it. The 3.5 is not a supported output on the device. It's a strange box and I flat out told my rep I wouldn't sell another one until they had a model that supported passthrough audio along with line & mic level outputs. But depending on what you need to cover, you might get by with some IP horns or speakers from CyberData.

I would imagine they are more expensive than the other brands but I cant say enough about the quality and reliability of the Algo products.

Snom PA1 is a great unit. Fully supported on 3CX, configured in two minutes and keeps working forever. We only consider IP paging units as input devices only, and the actual amplification and speakers should be separate products that suit the deployment.

The Algo units are REALLY good too. They have a scheduling system built in, so we use them in schools for the school bell system.

As the op has no paging system, they need no paging adapter and should just go with native SIP speakers/amps

The Axis ones are nice If you want to use a streaming music source for playing music, and also have the option to page over SIP, however the price point is very high.

Looks like Algo has a speaker that offers music as well but I haven't used it before.
