Hi Team,
i have a SBC (Anynode), Session Border Controller, hosted in a cloud and i want connect my 3CX Pbx to this SBC.
for me i think it is simple like setting up a SIP trunk with a Voip Provider but ... ??
someone has an idea for this ?
thank very much for your help

Hi @Tite BEUGRE

The question is why do you want to connect the SBC to 3CX. What is the use scenario? In general though it should be as simple as connecting a SIP Trunk but since we haven't tested this we cannot provide any assistance with configuration but perhaps another users has done this and will be able to assist further

Hi YannisH,
thank for your answer.
the scenario is to pass the outbound/inbound traffic of the pbx though the SBC before communicating with the voice service provider like in the capture.

ok so i work on it. and if it works then i'll tell you.
also, i am open if another users has an idea.

thank you.

OK, a bit of a cryptic answer, but it is as you said, an SBC can play multiple "roles" depending on how you set it up.
So, set it up as a "SIP Trunk", then in 3CX create a generic SIP Trunk and configure all settings manually, depending on what you have configured your SBC to expect.

Here is some information you may need to better understand how 3CX works from the perspective of SIP Trunks:
https://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/voip-provider-interop-explained/

Unfortunately we don't have experience with Anynode, so we as 3CX cannot advise you.

We'll leave this open though in case anyone else has any insight to share.

thank you very much NickD for the link.
i didn't know this link. thank you very much.

Moreover, i underline your words " create a generic SIP Trunk".

there is not template for 'generic provider' in sip trunk page (no button for generic provider).

there are templates only for supported providers. so my plan is to take one of those template (for a supported provider for example) and modify manually parameters
.

If you are using Hosted by 3CX then yes there is no generic template. If not just search for "Generic" in the countries drop down menu.
