Intercom

I was looking at installing a voip phone system and found 3CX. I was looking at the free edition vs paid edition page and saw that there was not a check by intercom for the free edition. So in the free edition there is no intercom at all?

Correct. The Free Version should really be called test version or evaluation version. It has some features limited so that it is not applicable for production use.
