We have a deployment of 3CX Hosted in Azure and tried to go live with it when the users reported intermittent one way audio.

After spending hours onsite looking through wireshark logs we decided to connect the clients to our own 3CX install and encountered the same issue. After this we took the clients machine to our office where we have a local PBX and tested and again encountered the same issue. We know our system is working fine so the issue must be with the client machine.

We have tried PBX delivers audio (on and off)

We then reinstalled Windows on the machine only installing 3CX after and still get the same issues. We ran some tests with the Web client and have been unable to replicate the issue, indicating an issue with either the installed version of the client or something within Windows interfering with the Audio.

Has anyone else had anything similar or have any idea what the issue may be?

PBX Version 16 Update 5
Client Version 16.3.0.111

Just a guess, sound card driver?

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately it is happening across multiple different devices, we have tried updating drivers etc. but it also works with the Web client indicating it isn't driver related.

Do you have issues with one or more client Windows machines? This is not clear to me.
Are you use the tunnel?
Have you tried disable the Windows firewall?
Use only the G.711 codec, disable all other ones.

Hi David,

That's some interesting troubleshooting, it seems to point towards the PC itself being the issue, at least upon a first look.

Have you tried using a USB headset, thus bypassing the onboard sounds card?

Have you tried plugging in a different ethernet card in case the onboard one is doing something to the traffic?
