International offices with one PBX but local numbers

Hello all,

I wanted to see if anyone is supporting a client with one hosted PBX(in the USA) but with offices in different countries. My client wants to be able to have an employee in a different country with local number to that country so that employee can make local calls to his clients and have his clients call him back with out incurring International rates. Has anyone used a specific carrier for this before? Do you have any recommendations for such an scenario

- Create groups of extensions for each local office
- Use those groups to specify outbound routes using different trunks or 1 with all the DIDs
- Put the local DID on the extension's Outbound Caller ID

Choose the most cost-effective solution:
1. 1 international trunk with all the local DIDs
2. Many local providers as multiple trunks and route by extension group.

If you get desperate, and the "remote" offices are a single line, a SPA3102 would do the job. They are harder to find these days as they have been discontinued for a while now. (unfortunately Linksys/Cisco has not seen fit to offer a replacement) It would also have to be manually configured, if you feel up to it.
The PSTN line could be connected locally, and the dialplan of the 3102 could be configured to allow local calls to route out over PSTN but all PBX calls to route to 3CX. Incoming calls from both originations would ring the set, or go off to the 3CX voicemail. I use this set-up when travelling, where there is a local phone line available.
