Upgraded to the new iOS app v20.0.1 today (available only in the last 24 hours I believe) and while calling and receiving still works, is seems most other tings to do with information about the 3CX system, company users and client history and status is blank. Contacts screen, Recents screen, and user account status colour square are not functioning, while the text display of status says "Ready for Calls" as normal. Keypad dialling works and inbound calls can be received as normal.
We are Enterprise user, hosted on prem, still running v18 Update 8. App versions 20.0.0 of both iOS and Android are still fine.
Anyone else in similar environment have the new app version working fully?

Which is the exact build version of the PBX?
Are you able to activate?

We are still on v18.0 Update 8 (Build 935).

Not sure what you mean by "activate".

But I notice now, though there has been no alert or notification in the Dashboard, that the License Settings page has a red banner alert reading "license_error.HttpsErr_InvalidTrustedStorage".

Whoops! I'm guessing that is a problem. ???

Is this the License activation fix that the Update 8 B Hotfix deals with? Is this what you mean by "activate"?

Yes it is a problem as this can cause the described issue among others.
The PBX requires to be at least under v18 Update 8 (Build 939) in order to activate.
You may contact your partner and fix this first and then check if there is any further issue.

Thank you for your quick responsive help TheodorosG_3CX.

I have installed the update 8B and got us to Build 939. That resolved the License not Active status in the Dashboard and the License page error alert is gone, with full License details displayed. Everything is operational as normal.
However the iOS app is still empty of information, while still able to make and receive calls.

I went ahead and installed the Update 9 upgrade as well, and the status is the same.

I do have an outstanding Wildcard SSL cert renewal to install for the server. Would you expect this would make a difference with the new version of the iOS app?

Further testing today confirmed that the new iOS app can't add/register a new account as it comes up with "An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made."

While I understand that it is a problem our currently installed SSL cert is past its expiry date and would be contributing to this, the current Android 3CX app v2.0.0 and the previous iOS app v2.0.0 can do so without issue.

I need to get the SSL cert renewal done, I know, but right now I'm having other issues with completing this.

Are there any ideas out there for getting the iOS app v2.0.1 operational with the status we are currently in?

Is this a custom FQDN?

Yes, that is right. Custom domain on premises with split DNS.

This forum post here can help you further of how to renew your certificate.

Thanks again.
Yes, I had found that post for how to do the SSL cert replacement.

So it sounds like the iOS app v2.0.1 is taking the first step for the mobile apps requiring secure comms to be all locked in for account config and refreshing data from the server.

Would that be a given going forward do you think?

Yes this is required for the secure connections.

Managed to get the replacement of the SSL Cert on the 3CX host in the ngnix Debian environment completed and confirmed, as suggested, and by following the linked help for cert replacement.
The new version of the app now all works perfectly, like it had previously.
Thanks for all the help here.
Issue resolved!
