Last night we have received an automatic update to 15.5.15502.6

Now all my IOS apps are unregistered. Seems that the push service got unregistered and so the folks are not reachable anymore (voicemail answers because extension is unregistered).

Is there a way to push the registration from the admin GUI ? I assume the apps have to be started/restart in order to make that happen, but want to make sure that there is no other way.

That has never happened on earlier updates and in fact is quite nasty :(

Thanks
Dieter

You will probably need to register the phone by sending the welcome email and getting people to scan the QBR code.

Hello @DieterJ

Please note that the clients are the ones registering to the PBX so the registration must be initiated from the clients. Send a new welcome email to the clients or re-provision them using the Q code to make sure that the configuration is correct.

Thanks. I was assuming that. Still strange that the PBX was able to "unregister" the clients but cannot "register" them.

Thanks
Dieter

The PBX does not actually unregister the clients. The clients register for a set amount of time. If no re-registration is received during that period the registration will expire and the client will un-register.
If you Exit the client the client will send remove registration message to the PBX.

I had the same happen with a client that has about 8 iOS phones. They have not been available yet for me to remotely troubleshoot. I had applied SP6, iOS certificate update, and also did the password regeneration for the extensions for new longer passwords. Is having each phone re-register the account by QR/welcome email the only way to fix? Is this going to be encountered with all iOS phones for clients that I apply these updates to?

If you clicked the regenerate button to change the password - then of course you will need to reregister the phone using the new credentials.

I'm not sure if that is what caused this yet, but that being said, I thought the windows/android/iOS clients were supposed to update automatically with the password regenerate button. I didn't have to do anything with the few androids other than restart the 3CX app. Windows clients some did automatically, some didn't until restart of the client, a few had to be reprovisioned. Not sure why.
