Hello all,

One of my 3cx servers gets the usual random of random ips trytry to get access.

I have the ip Blacklist settings set to a very long time, years.

Today I am seeing random times being allocated to attempted hijacks eg:394 seconds and 1001 seconds.

I have double checked the blackout time and it's still at the length it always was.

I restarted the entire server but the problem remains.

Has anyone noticed this and how is it resolved?

Running v12.5 on this install.

v12.5 ??
Have you considered updating your system?
If not, I think you are on your own.

Are the attacks exactly the same as the previous ones i.e. incorrect password, or are they something different? You might try reducing the lock out time to something like 250,000 seconds and see if it "takes".

Thanks for the replies.

No I have not concidered upgrading software that is only 3 years old.

I have made changes to the length of the ban time but it had no effect.

Yes, it looks like the usual incorrect password attempts.
