Hi Everyone,

I have a weird issue on one extension whereby the same IP handset is listed 3 times in the Windows & Web Client. The handset is only listed once in the management console and everything appears to be working CTI wise in both the clients. Windows and Web Clients showing exact same IP and MAC for all 3 listed handsets - there is only one handset. I think this is the only extension with issue as not had any reports from other users on same system.

It is not a major problem as selecting any one of the listed handsets connects to the correct handset in question.

Anyone come across this? Any ideas?

Hi @teenet_au,

When you check under the Phone Provisioning tab in the Extension, are you seeing more than 1 entry per unique MAC address?

@teenet_au,

What registration method did you use for the device? Is it a STUN phone?

Can you provide some additional information so that we can better assist?

Hi,

Phone was provisioned using "Local LAN"

However that said during after hours last night I went and did a reboot of the 3cx server (machine reboot not just 3cx service restart) and the problem went away it now shows only the one handset in both clients.

Additional info just incase it helps someone else
  • 3CX Version, e.g. Enterprise Annual 16.0.8.9
  • Server OS, e.g. Debian 9 on VMware ESXi 7.0
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? no on-premise
  • IP Phone Yealink/T46S/66.85.05
  • Provisioning Method: Local
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES
