I just stepped through all updates and renamed the PFX to replace with the one linked here.. still no change. The SPs got the notification to send fine.. which is better.
But alas, I too get a "Connected" on the iPad, while the other end just rings.
Noticed that my ringing stops and the call ends if I "hang up" the iPad.
Not fully clear what the verbose logging is trying to tell me on that.
Tried adding TCP 5223, 2195, and 2196 on the port forward rules on the PBX.. but I'm not seeing any listening ports at those numbers from a netstat anyway. As usual.. I seem to have half of the story.
Seems that the APNS needs to either tell my PBX something.. or the client app and the PBX aren't passing off the call properly.
For funsies, even tried a 3CXPhone and dialed internal.. about the same result.
Update: Went on a hunch after checking the logs. There is appear to be a bit of tranfer going.. where the call is put in limbo while the connection to the extension is first established by the push notification and response, then transfer.
Found that Removing the "Supports Re-Invite" item on the iPad's extension made it behave normal.. my call was answered between softphones.. and from a cell phone (external). Seems my hunch was probably right. The logs were indicating multiple calls were being made.. then the leg from one call was effectively being transferred and joined with the first leg from the caller to the PBX.. and that was failing because that header replacement and/or re-invite wasn't doing the job I guess.
Fine.. onwards to verify my client's claims that the ActiveSync security settings are interfering with the push notifications.. though I don't think that has anything to do with anything frankly.. other than forcing a PIN at al..
