Hi,

I'm currently testing 3CX on a virtual machine and I would like to be able to test the Standard version [1] without having to wait for the Pro license expiration in one month.
I read in some threads that the Standard version for 16 max simultaneous calls was free of charge but if I try to upgrade [2] (downgrade in my case) my license from Pro to a Standard one, I'm getting a quotation of 395$.

Upgrade
From: 3CX Pro 16 SC
To: 3CX Std 16 SC
Key: AAAA-XXXX-YYYY-XXXX
SKU: 3CXUAP16AS16

395.00 $

Any advice about this would be nice:
  • How can I downgrade immediately for testing in real conditions ?
  • Is 3CX Std 16 SC license really lifetime-free ?

1. You cannot downgrade right now. Wait the 40-days and it will do so by itself. Simply don't use Pro features if don't want them.

2. The Standard 16SC is free for 1 year. After that, it auto-renews to a Standard 8SC (4SC on V15.5).

Thank you, that was fast. ;)

Hi,

The short answer is that you can't downgrade it. What will happen is the following:

  1. 40 Days after activation, ti will revert from Pro to Standard
  2. After the 1st free year, the 16SC will revert to 8SC

It will auto renew itself on the free edition when it expires, so it will remain as is (Standard features, 8SC).This is subject to change at any point in the future since its the free version, but if the system works well for you and you are happy with it, then consider buying a license. You can upgrade the license type and size according to your organization's needs.
