Is it possible to modify outbound dial tone?

Hello,

based on a recent request we got, I am wondering if its possible to change the outbound dial tone? As in, the dial tone it plays, when the 3CX App (V20 windows app / webclient) is calling a number.

From what I've researched this cannot be modified. Has anyone done this before?

The outbound dial tone is a soundfile on your pbx. You need to change that file if you want to change the dial tone. But its only for the softphone or webclient.

Really? That would be what I'm looking for, but I didnt manage to find it. Is it one of the system prompts or do I manually have to change the file in the file directory?

You have to manually change this on the file directory. But keep in mind this isnt supported and could change after every update.

Hey @bitn2 just wanted to report this worked and also ask if you know if this is also adjustable for the mobile phone apps (android / ios)?
As far as I understand it works differently for those because it actually downloads the file onto the phone, and doesnt "look up" the file on the pbx. Is this correct?

You can change the ringtone on your phone in the app under options. This has nothing to do with the PBX.

I don't mean the ringtone, but the outbound dial tone (while it establishes connection to the dialed number).
