Is it safe to downsize an AWS EC2 3CX instance?

My company installed a few self-hosted 3CX systems on AWS EC2 through the 3CX portal. And we adjusted some instances from T3.micro to T3.small.
Now we actually decided that one of the systems actually could use less resources and therefore we'd like to downsize it back to T3.micro.

I'm thinking to do the below on this weekend.
Turn off said instance > change instance type from T3.small to T3.micro > turn it back on
Would it work or would it not? Is there any risks?

If any of you had tried this before, please let me know. Many thanks!

Your method would work to downsize it.

You should not downsize to a micro officially as that is 1GB ram and all 3CX recommend specs are 2GB and up. It will probably work, but it's not the official recommendation. What's the SC size of the system?

The target system to be downsized has an NFR license of 8SC while we do not fully utilise the whole SC capacity. The traffic is low most of the time, even at peak-hour we won't go pass 4SC.

Also, the majority of our systems are running on T3.micro without a problem so far (for example, 32SC and 8SC).
May I ask according to your best knowledge, what's the worst case scenario if we continue running those instances on T3.micro (i.e. 1GB ram)?

No, you must use minimum of 2 GIG for a 3CX to run properly. If you dont use it much use StartUP or if its an NFR take advantage of our free 3CX hosting

AND 2 core CPU

It will create audio issues and more.
