Seeing screen shots of 3cx emailing other providers clients directly lately.

All I can say is if this is true and my clients get emails like that, I'll do 3cx like I did Cisco and drop them faster than a sack of bricks.

If you renew your customers before the last 7 days of the license, they won't do that. If not, they consider you are not taking care of the customer, so they will.

Problem is most people wait too long (you get warnings at 30 days, 14 days, 10 days, 7 days, 3 days and 1 day).

That sounds dirty and under handed. Have a checkbox option to auto-renew with the payment on file if that is the case. As an MSP, if that option is there, I would have it selected.

You can also just use corporate customer info. Like email and phone number that the customer doesn't have access to.

That's what I do is only list my own info in the licensing, but there's reports of them access individual systems and gathering customer info that way.

Yes, of course. But that's not supposed to happen if my understanding of the terms and conditions.

Like I said, keep them renewed before the last 7 days and they won't have a reason to contact your customers directly.

I'm sure queue managers receive an email, im not sure so dont quote me on that.

It's basically what @Frederick Marcoux said, If you keep up-to-date with the customers this should never be a problem.

We as 3CX though do have a duty of care towards our paying users (your customers) because if their maintenance expires, a lot of their services may be affected (lose FQDN, 3CX SMTP, etc).

Anyhow though, if the user does follow the link to renew, and their key is linked to a Partner, they are informed to contact their partner at that point to renew. This way effectively we as 3CX are giving a nudge to your customers to contact you, because at this point, you pressumably would have tried to contact them yourself multiple times and failed, otherwise they wouldn't be at this point...
