Potential client is asking if this is possible within 3cx with fanvil phones?

"When we are closed, there is a button that we press to CLOSE the phones and they automatically get our closed message that I’ve recorded. We also have CLOSED Button options for a holiday message or an inclement weather message.

When we are not in Jacksonville, we forward all calls to our Hampstead office and this is also done by way of a button on the phone."

There is a dial code for "Force 3CX Phone System to IN or OUT of office." It sounds like you want two types of handling though...?

Hi ElementalWindX,

As SteveITS mentioned, there are dial codes for forcing the entire phone system either in-office, out-of-office, or default status that follows the defined office hours. Routing of calls will be based on the status of the PBX, either in or out of office. There are several strategies for manipulating where calls are routed, so I'll focus on the requirement for a button (rather than a dial code).

It seems to me that you could create a custom speed-dial that performs the dial code (so you don't have to memorize the codes). However, that consumes some available keys on your phone. Another option would be to create a Call Flow Designer application that when dialed asks you for the desired status and then performs the action for you. That would only require one button on the phone.

Also be aware that VoIPTools has a REST API that will allow you to inquire regarding the current status of the phone system as well as change the status (0=default, 1=Forced out, 2=Forced in). This opens more doors for CFD solutions, BLF or web pages, for example.

We had all calls goto an extension - and then we have 5 status' available using the *3 codes.
