Hi,

I am using the free version of 3cx with Callcentric and the 3cx softphone(my voip phones are in the mail) and everything works well for calls incoming and outgoing unless I call into a menu driven system that answers right away. Then I hear the 3cx ring audio and the prompts for the number i dialed. The tones i send dont seem to work but something is getting through, when i hit # it says invalid entry.

Is anyone else seeing this behavior?

here is log:

Hi

Do you only encounter this when calling an external conference service?

If you call a number which has an auto attendant are DTMF entries handled properly at that point? This will help us understand if the issue is DTMF holistically or just to specifc destinations / routes.

This type of issue is somewhat complex to address in a forum post, as one would need to review the logs and captures to see that the DTMF signals are correctly sent out. When sent out correctly one would then need to understand if they are understood by the receiving end.

We would recommend you open a support ticket for this issue , this Verbose logs and capture of such a call.

Ok, but after some testing I noticed I do not have the issue when i use my homegrown soft phone. So Ill just assume the 3CX free softphone may have a bug. I'll test with my hardphones when they arrive. If I still see the issue when I purchase 3cx in the next month ill open a support ticket.

Thank you.... Al

Note:

When I tried with an SPA941 with firmware version 4.1.8 I had the same issue with the remote conferencing service DTMF prompts not working and the PBX ringing sound playing while the remote system audio prompts were played.

When I upgraded to 5.1.8 the problem went away.
