Hi Guys

I am trying to setup a 3cx instance.

When doing the restore we are getting the error that it could not reach the 3cx license servers.

I have tried to spin up a new V20 Box and an old V18 box and get the same errors.

When trying to redo the boxes with older ISOs that I had I now get the below error

This is very weird as other instance that have been setup here are working fine without any issues.

If I move a VM across onto this network with the same network details ie VLAN ID, IP Address, DNS and gateway I am able to get internet break out, and download the file, please see below.

So this rules out my network being the issues or the firewall rules not allowing it.

I get the same results for V20 & V18

I did notice someone on one of the 3CX forums stating that they were experiencing a similar issue where by clients details needed to be setup differently from the 3CX side.

Are you able to continue and complete the installation? Youre not using Hetzner by any chance are you.

Hi

I can confirm that we are not using Hetzner no

If I try to complete the installation it installs Debian without 3cx unfortunately

Are you able to manually set up your network details during installation and seeing if it can get out on the internet?

it sounds like a network issues though fo-sho

So to rule this out

I have put another 3CX System that is already setup on that VLAN, set the IP to the Same, Set the gateway to the same, set DNS to exactly the same as what I am specifying on the setup.

After doing that, I am able to then ping out to google, our offices and my house not problem both FQDNs and IPs and it resolves and can connect to the outside world without any issues.

Furthermore I did policy test on the firewall for all the policies to test out and it also confirms that the policies on the firewall allow traffic in and out to the IPs specified.

I can ping activate.3cx.co.za and this resolves exactly the same as the IP that I get from my house or our offices.

if I do a wget to the file specified it downloads.

how restrictive is your firewall?

how restrictive is your firewall?
3CXServer_to_WAN - Unrestricted
WAN_to_3CX - Allows all ports needed by 3CX Inbound
SIP ALG is also disabled on the firewall
See screenshot below of allowed 3CX Ports
