Hi,

we have sometimes the situation that User A forwards his extension to a User B if his line is busy. But User B has set a forward to User A if he is away so that we have sometimes a loop.
Would it be possible that we have in this case a message that tells "all lines are busy" or any other custom message?

regards,
beon

Hello beon,

Try this if its works for you.
  • Create a new ring group and add only User B.
  • In the ring group "Destination if no answer", you can route to any IVR(a message that tells "all lines are busy" or any other custom message)
  • In User A, set the ring group number "If I am busy or my phone is unregistered, forward calls to:"

Hi Naveen,

ok this would work for user A when hey is away. But how about user B when he is away and user A also.
Can user B forward to user A without having a looking again?

Consider the following:

Assuming you have implemented the configuration suggested by @Naveen | Cal4care , and that Extension B does not accept ring group calls when Away, the following should happen:

1. If A is busy and B is available, a call to A will route to the Ring Group and then ring extension B.
2. If A is busy and B is Away, a call to A will route to the Ring Group and then to the "Destination if no Answer" of the Ring Group which is the IVR so the message will be played.

What scenario are you referring to?
